Get in touch
Contact us, and what we can actually help with
We are an independent comparison site, not a booking agent and not a guiding company. That shapes what we can do for you, so here is the useful version before you write.
The short answer
We cannot book, change or cancel a trip. Every reservation you make goes directly to the guiding company, and only they can alter it. If you need to reach them, their details are on their profile page here.
What we are good for: which trip suits your group, what a price does and does not include, and corrections when something on this site is out of date.
Questions we welcome
What we can help with
- Which trip suits your group. Describe the group plainly, including ages, fitness, anybody nervous about heights and how much walking you want. A straight description gets a useful answer.
- What a price includes. Transport, gear, meals, park entry, tax and gratuity all vary by operator and the published rate rarely spells it out.
- Whether a trip is right for the season. Some canyons run only part of the year and some trails are unpleasant or unsafe in July.
- Corrections. If a price, a minimum age or a route on this site is wrong, tell us. Every page carries the date it was last checked, and we would rather hear it from you than leave it standing.
We answer as a working Moab guide rather than as a call centre, which means the answer is usually specific and occasionally it is that the trip you asked about is not the right one for you.
The limits
What we cannot do
Bookings
Not through us
We do not take reservations, hold dates, process payments or issue refunds. Everything is booked directly with the guiding company, which is also the only party who can change or cancel it.
Changes and cancellations
Contact the operator
If your plans change, ring the company you booked with. Cancellation windows and deposit terms vary between operators and we have no visibility of your reservation.
Permits and park tickets
Federal systems
Fiery Furnace permits and tickets are issued by the National Park Service through Recreation.gov and we have no involvement. The same goes for park entrance fees.
Emergencies
Call 911
If you are in the field and something has gone wrong, call 911 or contact the operator running your trip. This is a website, and messages here are not monitored continuously.
For the trade
If you run a guiding company
We list companies because visitors are looking for them, not because anyone paid us. If you run trips in or around Moab, a few things are worth knowing.
- Corrections are free and quick. If a price, group cap, minimum age or route on your page is wrong, send the correction and we will update the page and the date on it.
- Listing is free. No operator pays to appear here or to appear higher, and that will not change quietly. If we ever take payment from a company, it will be stated on the disclosure page and on every page where that company appears.
- We use your published material. Everything on an operator page comes from the company's own website, with the date it was checked. If you publish more detail, particularly walking distances, we will use it.
- Walking distance is the gap. Almost nobody publishes how far guests actually walk, and it is the question visitors ask most. If you are willing to share yours, it will be on your page.
Getting in touch
How to reach us
Use the form below, or email directly. We are based in Moab, so replies come on Mountain Time and may be slower during the working part of the guiding season.
Email: hello@moabhikingtours.com
Divi note. Place the Divi Contact Form module in a row directly beneath this code module. Divi forms cannot be embedded inside a code module and still process submissions.
When you write, tell us the dates you are in Moab, the size and make up of your group, and what you are hoping the day looks like. That is usually enough to answer in one reply rather than three.
Common questions
Questions
Can you book a tour for me?
No. We are an independent comparison site and we do not take reservations, payments or cancellations. Every booking goes directly to the guiding company, which is also the only party who can change it.
I need to cancel my trip, can you help?
Contact the company you booked with directly. Cancellation windows and deposit terms vary between operators and we have no visibility of your reservation.
Do operators pay to be listed on this site?
No. No operator pays to appear here or to appear higher. If that ever changes it will be stated on the disclosure page and on every page where the company appears.
Something on a page is out of date, what do I do?
Send us the correction. Every page carries the date its details were last checked, and corrections are the fastest way to keep that date meaningful. Operators are welcome to send them too, free and without conditions.
